IngeniArs has developed high-performance transmitter and receiver IP cores that supports both O3K (Optical On-Off Keying), with both Reed-Solomon (RS) and Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) coding, and HPE (High Photon Efficiency) standards provided with CCSDS 142.0-P and CCSDS 142.0-B coding and synchronization specifications. Designed as part of an European Space Agency (ESA) project, these IP cores enable flexible and efficient implementation of optical systems to be integrated into optical Payload Data Transmitters (PDTs) for space to ground telemetry communications in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and deep-space links.
This versatile IP cores addresses the needs of modern and future space missions requiring either high-data-rate (O3K) or low-photon-budget communication links (HPE), making it an ideal solution for:
- Earth observation satellites with optical direct-to-Earth (DTE) links;
- Deep-space probes and planetary missions operating under extreme link constraints.
These IP cores have been developed within the framework of ESA projects and in accordance with ECSS-E-ST-20-40C quality standard.
