Telemetry Tracking and Command (TT&C) is a satellite sub-system that allows communication between the spacecraft and the ground station. Such systems are based on coding schemes that are defined in CCSDS standards. In particular, the CCSDS 131.0-B standard defines coding and synchronization layer for Telemetry whereas CCSDS 231.-B standard defines coding and synchronization layer for Telecommands. IngeniArs IP cores provide coding and decoding functionalities in accordance with the abovementioned standards. The IP cores are configurable in terms of coding scheme supported and their architecture is optimized for low complexity implementation on space qualified FPGA. For Telemetry coding/decoding IP cores, supported coding schemes are convolutional, Reed-Solomon, PCCC turbo coding, and LDPC. Each type of encoder/decoder is further configurable in terms of coding rate. Telecommand coding and decoding IP cores supports BCH and LDPC in accordance with the standards. For Telecommand coding IP core dedicated Finite State Machine implementing PLOP-2 sequence is available as option.
