Digital signal processing refers to the discipline of analysing and processing electrical signals after proper sampling and analog-to-digital conversion. Signals processed in this way result in a sequence of numbers representing samples of a continuous variable in a domain such as time, space or frequency. The elaboration is based on the use of dedicated circuits and/or processors with a high degree of specialization for such tasks, specifically called Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), in charge of performing specific algorithms. In this area, IngeniArs is able to manage the full design flow for development of custom systems for performing advanced digital signal processing algorithms, especially but not exclusively for the application field of space communications: C/C++ and/or Matlab algorithm modelling and simulation, quantization and optimization, description in Hardware Description Language (HDL), and implementation on FPGA and/or ASIC technologies.
